For the third time in 26 years, Victoria Baths welcomed visitors to its stunning gala pool to swim! Swim For Restoration is in aid of the ongoing restoration work the baths are currently going through.

Since its closure in 1993, a movement was started to protect the building from demolition and bring it back to its former glory. Lead by the Friends of Victoria Baths, they rely on the help of volunteers and supporters to be able to take steps towards the baths opening as a fully functioning swimming pool.

Almond Family Pubs own and operate a chain of hugely popular venues across South Manchester. They invited Coolbox to help them recruit new staff members ahead of an upcoming busy period for the chain.

Sustrans Scotland – The Caledonia Way cycling route

Here’s a new promotional film we produced for Sustrans Scotland, and the launch of their new cycling route.

The Caledonia Way – National Cycle Route 78, runs from Campbeltown to Inverness, through Oban and Fort William, covering 237 miles alongside some of Scotland’s most stunning landscapes. You’ll cycle by the banks of Loch Ness, experience the views of Arran from Kintyre, see the standing stones of Kilmartin Glen, follow the Crinan Canal and ride the locks of Neptune’s Staircase.

A special thanks to all the volunteers, supporters, partners and members of the public involved in filming this video and being part of this project.

Great Northern Warehouse promotional film

Here’s a short promotional video we produced on behalf of Deansgate Media Group, to help highlight the attractions at the Great Northern Warehouse this Christmas in Manchester.

We finished the day off with a few frames at All Star Lanes (with some Long Island Ice Teas thrown in for good measure) and a wee skate on the Manchester Ice Rink.

As it was a run-and-gun shoot, we mostly opted for using natural light, with a little kick from some battery powered LED panels. I decided to shoot with Sony A7s, as it’s small and lightweight and is wonderful in low light. We used the Sony FS700 for the slow motion shots.

Park Lives

An initiative developed by Coca Cola, ParkLives is a free and easy way for people of all ages to get the best out of their local park. It includes a whole host of activities from tai chi to donkey grooming!

Coolbox worked with PR agency Citypress to produce two social media videos highlighting some of the fantastic activities ParkLives has to offer in Manchester’s parks.

Gardening Scotland Promo

Coolbox worked with our friends at Scene & Herd Pr and Marketing in Scotland to produce a series of promotional videos for Garden Scotland‘s website and social channels.

The brief was to show the variety of events, activities and installations at the national gardening event, and highlight its appeal to green-fingered enthusiasts of all ages.

Gardening Scotland was set up in 2000 by a group of volunteers passionate about the art and science of growing plants.
