Coronation Street // Identity Stories Ft. Dani Winter Bates

This is a short sequence taken from the mini-documentary Coolbox produced on behalf of ITV, delving into a recent storyline featured on Coronation Street.

The soap ran a vital storyline, focused on hate crime against alternative sub-cultures. The story was linked to a real-life hate crime murder case.

Bury Tomorrow‘s Dani Winter-Bates featured as presenter, and also wrote the premise for the documentary, and the spoken words passages throughout it.

Young Readers Programme

Coolbox teamed up with PR agency Citypress to produce this short video to help promote the Young Readers Programme.

One person in seven in the UK lives with poor literacy. This holds them back at every stage of their life. However, research shows that reading for pleasure is one of the most effective ways to help children reach their full potential. The Young Readers Programme motivates children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to read for enjoyment.

We were invited to a school in Manchester for the day to film a series of interviews with the children. They told us why they loved reading and what types of books they enjoyed most.

The IBS & Gut Health Clinic

Coolbox recently created a suite of short videos for The IBS & Gut Health Clinic‘s new website.

The videos would provide an overview of the clinic’s primary services, while also acting as an visual alternative to the more standard ‘FAQ’ section you might usually find on a website.

Every Can Counts

Every Can Counts is a not-for-profit communications programme funded by drink can manufacturers, the recycling industry and drink brands.

Their mission is to inspire, encourage and empowerΒ people to recycle their drink cans wherever they are.

Recently Coolbox worked with the organisation to create a series of punchy social videos, covering their ‘Rainbow’ campaign in Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens.

The installation featured a huge rainbow archway, made up of 2,500 recycled cans.

Wrong Banana feat. Ruby-Ann // ‘Seventeen’ // Official Music Video

Coolbox worked with musician and producer Liam Morson to create his debut music video for his new outfit Wrong Banana.

‘Seventeen’ also features Manchester-based vocalist Ruby-Ann Patterson.

Victoria Baths // Music and Arts FestivalΒ 

Here’s a little social media teaser video we produced with Victoria Baths in Manchester.

The 60-second film includes footage from their Music and Arts Festival hosted at the baths this past summer.

Victoria BathsΒ is a listed Edwardian swimming pool and Turkish Baths complex, closed since 1993 awaiting restoration.

Glengoyne Wildfowl and Wetlands

Glengoyne whisky recently announced that they will continue their relationship with the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) and support their latest campaign to save the endangered Greenland white-fronted goose.

Working closely with WWT, Glengoyne will support the initiative to assist the WWT in carefully undertaking planned research to help understand the rapid population decline of the geese.

Glengoyne asked Coolbox to produce a short film to document the ongoing research WWT undertakes in the wetland area surrounding the distillery. We followed Researcher Ed Burrell for a day, and asked him a few questions about his work, before catching up with Glengoyne Marketing Director Iain Weir.
